Considered to be the snow capital of Andorra, the ski resort of El Tarter is in the heart of Grandvalira ski area. The area has over 193km of slopes with 930m of altitude variation. The neighbouring resorts, Soldeu and Pas de la Case-Grau Roig, welcome both skiers and snowboarders. El Tarter is the ideal place to learn how to ski or snowboard as there is a wide variation of slopes available for beginners and intermediate skiers. The ski schools offer high quality and bilingual classes, which are all provided with high standard equipment to aid your learning. El Tarter has an area designated for women’s freestyle. Snowboarders can ride the El Tarter snowpark and enjoy the most famous freestyle events in southern Europe : la Grandvalira Total Fight Masters of freestyle. Other snow activities are available such as igloo building and dog-sleigh rides.
